1. The RAFFU Military Anniversary Tournament (One Hit Epee) will be held, by kind permission of the Commandant of DCAE Cosford, Air Commodore NW Gammon MA MSc BSc CEng FRAeS MCMI RAF , at DCAE Cosford on Saturday 29 Sep 07
2. The following events will take place :
a. One Hit Epee (Pool Unique)
b. Inter Unit 3 Fencer Team
c. Scratch 3 Fencer Team
d. Representative Team Challenge Match
3. Provisional Programme

Events a, b, and c. Final check in will be at 0900 hrs. Late entries may be refused or a late entry fee levied at the discretion of the Director of Combats.
b. Representative Team Challenge
The Representative Team Challenge Match will be a 3 Fencer Epee bout between the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, Civil Service and the Metropolitan Police Service. It will be fought in three-minute sub-bouts to five points, up to a maximum of forty-five points. The score will be carried over at the end of each sub-bout.
This programme may be subject to change and the Director of Combats will provide actual timings on the day.
4. Regulations.
a. The competition will be fenced in accordance with the rules of the British Fencing Association as amended. The RAFFU Executive Committee reserves the right to modify these rules, amendments to which will be displayed on a notice board at the venue.
b. Each Fencer is personally responsible for making sure that his or her clothing and equipment conform to the FIE and British Fencing rules and are in good condition. Neither British Fencing nor the organisers of the competition, nor any official or referee involved in the competition is responsible for these matters, or for any accident, loss or damage to persons or property however caused.
c. Blades are not to be ground or filed for any reason whatsoever, although corrosion may be removed with abrasive paper.
d. Fencers are reminded of the requirement to be a member of at least one recognized UK Fencing Authority. Insurance can not be guaranteed by the RAFFU. British Fencing Association membership forms will be available at the venue.
5. Entries.
Click here to electronically register. Entry fees of £5 per person are to be paid to the Director of Combats (Tech) at the venue.
6. Accommodation.
All fencers will ideally be accommodated at DCAE Cosford. Accommodation is limited and will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Any returns received after noon on 31 Aug 07 will not be actioned.
7. Travel Authority.
The following authority for competitors is to be quoted on all warrants and claims:
QR 2484(5) and RAF Sports Board Letter (Reference and date to be notified at the venue)
When 2 or more fencers are travelling from the same unit, cars are to be shared whenever possible. Subsistence allowance is not to be charged to public funds or to the RAFFU
